We are running a Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 with exchange server 2007 installed on it.We requested a certificate from a Certifying Authority by generating a CSR from exchange management shell of our HUBCAS server. They gave us a SHA256 certificate.Installed
the certificate using the IIS mmc on the same HUBCAS server. But now the certificate is showing that the digital signature is invalid.Someone told us that when we generated the CSR AD generated the certificate and now our server is not taking the certificate
we got from CA.As certificate corresponding to CSR was generated by AD.
Also the place where it shows the signature algorithm it is showing 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11 instead of SHA256RSA..When open the certificate on the local computer, the certificate shows fine. While If I copy the certificate from local computer to some other Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 it shows that "Windows doesn't have enough information to verify the certificate & The issuer of this certificate could not be found"I have read that Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 is not compatible with the Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2..Really confused on whats happening here.First time dealing with certificates.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
