After installing KB2724197 on my Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 R2 systems I cannot run a 16bit application that is vital to production at my site. Once I remove KB2724197 and reboot, everything runs smoothly. All operating systems are fully patched, excluding KB2724197.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?

I got an answer for this, use the following Reg Hack:
Create Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NTVDM
Value: BiosRomMappingOption
Type: REG_DWORD
Data: ffffffff
This resolved my issues.
