Just wondering, I have a 2016 active directory domain. Currently the password policy is basically minimum of 6 characters, can't use last five passwords, and the other settings are pretty much the defaults. Should I not be able to change this policy to use complex passwords and a minimum character of 9? When I tried this and I set all users to change password at next logon, when users would try to change their password to the requirements, no matter what they used it came back with, Password does not meet complex requirements.
I cannot figure this one out. Any suggestions?
