Auditing logs for a folder on network

I need a create a folder and put auditing for a user or a group, when user or group make changes within this folder I like to log it.

I have tried this microsoft knowledge base article: Security auditing settings are not applied to Windows Vista-based and Window Server 2008-based computers when you deploy a domain-based policy which did not work.

I have changed the group policy to allow success and fail on auditing. I also set the auditing permission on folder.
