Hello, I am trying to figure out the best way to slowly move our RADIUS clients from windows 2003 to windows 2008 R2. Currently we have Dial-up, VPN and wireless clients connecting to a 2003 server running RADIUS and it is the only CA in our Domain. The goal it to decommission the 2003 server and move all of the function over to the 2008 R2 server. The problem we have is it can't be done all at one time. My thought process was to configure the 2008 server as a radius server but point it to use the 2003 CA to get authentication and encryption. Then once I point all the devices over to the 2008 R2 server I could move the CA from the 2003 server to the 2008 server during off hours and everything would work fine. Can you tell me if this logic is sound or am I missing something? Also if you have any instruction that could help that would be great.
