We found a critical memory leak issue that appears after installation of microsoft update KB2835393. This cause our .Net 4.0 application to grow in memory to an unstable state within 12-15 hours.

It tooks us weeks to pinpoint to the KB as we started experimenting problem after the installation of over 20 patches and others changes. After removing everything but the MS patches we started a lengthly process to isolate the faulty patch.  The following diagram shows normal memory allocation and result after installing this patch. You can see that we restore to normal after deinstalling that patch.

This server is heavy used  (75,000 transsaction per hour).  on a second identical server with just a few thousand transactions per hour the leak is very seldom so people may think it is normal.  As this patch is not that old many peoples may have a leak without having noticed it really.

Windows Server 2008R2 standard

Ms SQL 2008

.Net 4.0 application  (no silverlight)

any people experimented the same issues since that KB?

I have some performance pictures to shows, but forum doesn't allow me to load them.
