Windows 2012 ADCS Backup & Restore

Hi,

We are planning to backup a Windows 2012 ADCS environment (offline Root CA & Online Subordinate Enterprise CA); and were looking for guidance for Backup & Restore procedures. Its a pity the ADCS Help file is so minimal these days.

So far we have the following required for Backup:

1. Back up a CA database and private key (by using the Certification Authority snap-in)

2. Back up CA registry settings (by using regedit)

3. Back up the CAPolicy.inf file

Questions:

1. Are the above sufficient?

2. Do we also need to perform a separate backup for Certificate Templates?

Anything else?
