We have deployed Windows 2003 Certificate Services and users across organisation are using the Basic EFS certificate to Encrypt data in Desktops and Laptops. One of the senior user was trying to Encrypt a file and it failed with error that Encryption is failed.
After this now the file is not opening. It is not getting decrypted with either user or recovery agent cert. the thumbprints are maching but getting error " Access is denied"
Is there a way to overcome this issue if the file encryption gets interrupted.
