MBAM Recovery and Hardware Service - "Certificate's CN name does not match the passed value."

The BitLocker (test) laptop receives 2 messages in the event viewer, one for "Unable to connect to the MBAM Recovery and Hardware service." and the other "An error occurred while sending encryption status data." Both have an error code of 0x800b010f with the Details saying: "Certificate's CN name does not match the passed value." I believe it's a server configuration issue, hence the reason for this forum section.

I successfully completed the installation of all components for MBAM on a single server (not multi-server configuration) running Server 2008 R2. It is setup on port 443 and is using a self-signed certificate where the name of it is identical to the "issued to" and "issued by." This self-signed certificate was used in the installation of MBAM on this server.

This laptop is joined to an active directory domain and is in an OU with a GPO that contains settings for MBAM, including specifying the correct https (with port 443 in the URL) for MBAM Recovery and Hardware service, and Status reporting service. I also manually installed the 32-bit client for MBAM on the Windows 7 laptop.

I tried exporting the certificate (.pfx) from the IIS 7 console and imported it to the client, but it still displays the error. What I'm wanting is the prompt for encrypting or postpone to be displayed. I'm thinking I may not be getting it due to this error.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
