I have been trying to update some expired Certs in our domain serviced by an internal CA. The security team creates them and I get tasked with installing them. On some I get errors because the names don't match the previous cert. I am new to the certificate details and am looking for some help.
I would like to know if there is a document describing the Fields & Values inside a Cert and which ones need to match when doing an update. Also, can you point me to a training doc(s) that could help me get up to speed on my new responsibilities around certs?
