Recently we updated the root CA on our Enterprise CA as the cert was about to expire. We renewed the Domain Controller certs manually on our DC's after that. Now our DC's are barking error after error in their event logs
Event 6. Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed (0x80094800) The requested certificate template is not supported by this CA.
Event 13. Certificate enrollment for Local system failed to enroll for a DomainControllerAuthentication certificate with request ID 528 from cert.vader.com\WIN2003CA (The requested certificate template is not supported by this CA. 0x80094800 (-2146875392)).
Then an informational message
Event 66. Certificate enrollment for Local system is successfully authenticated by enrollment server cert.vader.com\WIN2003CA
Then another event 13
Certificate enrollment for Local system failed to enroll for a DirectoryEmailReplication certificate with request ID 527 from cert.vader.com\WIN2003CA (The requested certificate template is not supported by this CA. 0x80094800 (-2146875392)).
Apart from converting our 2003 CA to a 2008 one, is there any solution to fix this?
