Server 2008 R2 SP1
Installing Bitlocker without TPM. Changed policy per instructions.
Turn Bitlocker ON.
Checks are OK.
Step to write Bitlocker key to USB drive - No error reported. Printed and saved recovery information.
However, no visible file is on the flash drive. And its not hidden/system. Formatted to fat, fat32, NTFS. No luck.
Flash drive is 8Gb commercial grade flash drive.
Restart sytstem per prompt. Get the following error message: "BitLocker could not be enabled.... BitLocker key or recovery password cannot be found on the USB device. Verify you have the right USB device... etc."
Tried different flash drives.
This was the easy step. What's going on???????
