Is the local system account the same as the computer account in this scenario?

Hi,

I'm having a problem trying to get a PC to access a remote file share at login.

The share contains an msi that is to be installed before the user logs in.

I take it that the software will be installed under the local system account.

But I can't assign the local system account to the remote file share.

All I can do is add the computer object.

So what I am trying to figure out is, does the computer object of the PC represent itself in an identical manner as the local system account?

Or are they two different things.
