issuing CA has 2 certs on it, one revoked by the root. when trying to issue a crl the ca is trying to use the revoked key and failing as the signing cert is revoked.

I have a situation in which the issuing CA has 2 certs on it, one revoked by the root. when trying to issue a crl, the ca is trying to use the revoked key and failing as the signing cert is revoked.

Does anyone knows a way so that I can force issuing CA not to use the revoked cert but to  use the valid cert.
