Storing Sales Quotations in a folder and granting read permissions by creator

Hi,

Lets suppose that you have a group of salespeople storing their sales quotations in a common folder. How can you restrict the permissions so that they can only access the quotations that they created? It is prohibited to read the quotations of a colleague.  The alternative of creating subfolders for each salesperson is not an elegant solution because it is not easy to maintain.
