Private certificate inside smartcard propagating to the "other people" store instead of "Personal" store

Dear,

I have personal certificate generated on smartcard (MICROSOFT SMART CARD BASE CSP) which is somehow propagating to the "other people" store instead of "Personal" store (windows XP). Same token if inserted inside another machine (windows 7) it works fine (certificates can be seen inside "personal" store).

Any clue?
