Removing or changing variables in LDP or AIA paths

Trying to document and do a test install in a test environment. Ive see a few posts that talk about not having the server name in the AIA path and removing the %%1 like this for the offline Root CA

certutil -setreg CA\CACertPublicationURLs "1:%WINDIR%\System32\CertSrv\CertEnroll\%%1_%%3%%4.crt 

to

certutil -setreg CA\CACertPublicationURLs "1:%WINDIR%\System32\CertSrv\CertEnroll\%%3%%4.crt

A little confused and cant seem to find much on this. Would I leave the _ before the %%3? I see that %1 is <ServerDNSName>.

So are you only removing the %%1 in the AIA local and the AIA HTTP paths or just the local?
