Hi, I wasn't sure what forum this should be placed in so please move this question if it's not in the right place.
I have four virtual machines.
- 2008 R2 domain controller (DC)
- 2008 R2 certificate authority (CA)
- 2008 R2/IIS 7 web server
- 2012/IIS 8 web server
The CA is a root enterprise CA and joined to the domain created by the DC. The two webservers are not joined to the domain. I've created certificate requests in IIS 7 and 8 and submitted them to my CA but get the following error:
"The request contains no certificate template information. Denied by Policy Module (0x80094801) The request does not contain a certificate template extension or the CertificateTemplate request attribute."
After doing some searching online, I was not able to resolve the issue.
On the CA, I removed all the default certificate templates, duplicated the Web Server template and added that into the "Certificate Templates to Issue". Same error.
For good measure, I included the default Web Server template as well. Same error.
I modified my template to ensure that "Authenticated Users" had enroll and autoenroll privileges. Same error.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
