I'm currently studying for my final year at Uni, I'm doing a VPN performance project and have implemented a SSTP VPN to test. To test it I am using iPerf, when setting the buffer size above 256KB I am seeing around 45-50% packet loss. Is this sort of packet loss normal at that buffer size? also we are seeing similar in L2TP/IPsec.
If anyone has any knowledge on what sort of Packet loss is normal that would be good or any solutions on how to fix.
Our set up is 4PCs daisy chained with 2 servers between 2clients... Server1 is AD/DS and Server 2 is CA and RRAS with. Client2 and one network card of Sever2 is one network and the other card and server 1 and client 1 is another network.
Looks something like this:
C2 ---- S2--S2 --- S1 --- C1
we are limited by the resources available at uni.
Servers are both windows server 2012
Clients are both windows 7
