Attempting to install KB2972215 and KB2972216 to a couple of windows 2008R2 x64 systems give the "Generic Trust Failure" error. As far as I can tell, they are attempting to authenticate to microsoft, even though they are offline installer
packages. This is an offline system. It will not have access to the internet. Windows update is not an option. What is most aggrivating about this issue is that the patch is downloaded as an offline installer, so it should not need
to authenticate to microsoft.com . The system is genuine windows, the touch-tone phone automated system was used to verify the product key. How do I install these patches?
