Hello Everyone..
I've some issue dealing with a recent server migration.
My current server only assigns rights to user via windows sharing and security options.
It's pretty simple and i only ensure that the parent directory is open up to administrators.
The child and sub ones were only to their respective folder owners.
However, our recent IT group revise that method.
They requested us to create universal security groups and add members through there.
We have to create two groups with one as Read/Write ,the other as Read only.
Admins and Folder owners goes through Read/Write while Guest goes through Read Only.
From here, we're told to removed all members under the folder's sharing and security rights and replace it with the two universal security groups.
I removed the members from the folder's security and permission list and added the security groups but users are now unable to access the parent directory although they were place under read and execute..
Need some enlightment here. Did i did something wrong ?
