Hello All IT Professionals and Experts!
I need your IMMEDIATE RESPONSES...as soon as you are available...I've been reading all of your "expertise," and am in "dire need" of assistance, regarding an "emergent" matter (several matters, actually)...First, I am an Executive Recruiter and the Founder and President of my company, Smith Esther (An Executive Recruiting Firm). Secondly, My Microsoft Windows Accounts (including windows live mail, hotmail, passport, msn, microsoft partner accounts, logon information, account credentials, certifications, etc., etc...) have all been "hi-jacked," and "hacked" into/compromised/changed so that I cannot get to ANY of my business OR personal e-mails - Pertinent and highly confidential information regarding Candidates, Clients, Client Firms, etc., etc...). I know this now "for SURE." I know I need to do a complete "system restore" and set my computer back to it's "factory state," but I CANNOT DO THAT UNTIL THESE "HACKERS/CRIMINALS" are CAUGHT...Additionally, if I DO that, I will lose ALL of my information regarding my candidates, clients, etc., etc., won't I??? Please advise as soon as possible. This is an Emergency. I can't "lose everything!"
Again, PLEASE do not "overlook" my posting and just "not respond." ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated at this point. I want to Thank You, In Advance, for your time, effort, and sincere concern/consideration in this HIGHLY IMPORTANT MATTER. I am NOT an IT Professional; rather, I specialize in Executive Healthcare Recruiting. Obviously, I need HELP from all of YOU...the "EXPERTS" in these situations, and have NO ONE ELSE TO ASK (I've exhausted most all other options), so I am doing what Microsoft has TOLD me to do, and that is "to ask the EXPERTS IN IT!"
Please explain to me, in detail, the initial steps I can take (on my computer) that are necessary to 1) Catch these "hackers," 2) Resolve these Issues," and 3) How to "move on to the next step," in order to re-gain control of and access to my Microsoft Accounts. This is what I know so far, as of today, Thursday, August 14th, 2008: "They have done this through the "back door" (???) of my computer (I am assuming that means they have used a "port?" "This has been done through a program called "LogMeIn.com" (???), and that through "LogMeIn.com," I may be able to catch them in the process of doing these things to me. Additionally, I was told "the way they do it like that is through sending me e-mails, containing Attachments," and there is something called a "loophhole" (???) in the attachments that they can with just a click or two have complete, total access to my entire computer system, files, and private information." I am SURE that some of you know EXACTLY what all of this means...(I have NO IDEA what ANY of it means)...SO, I am PLEADING FOR YOUR HELP - at your earliest convenience.
Please understand. I MUST "catch" these hackers/criminals...not simply "fix the problem." I realize that makes this whole scenerio more difficult, but if there is anyone out there willing to help by sending information (i.e.~Website Addresses, Links, Web Pages, Web Documents, White Papers, Web Documents, Contact Numbers, Past Cases, Case Studies, Court Reports, Government decisions, Laws, Ethics, specific Programs I can run), basically just about anything at all you feel may help "direct" me (or point me) towards "the solution," so as to get my focus OFF "the problem," please do so. I am sitting in front of my computer awaiting a response...from SOMEONE (ANYONE), and I am NOT MOVING until I at LEAST get a response from someone who knows what "the next right thing" for me to do is (BESIDES "contacting the local authorities...have already done that...six months ago...they cannot figure ANY of this out because they are "not like all (or most) of you. They are absolutely NOT IT Specialists, Professionals, and Computer Experts!
I am paralyzed with fear and full of anxiety; I feel extremely "violated." I have only "heard" of these things happening to people...not to "me!" (?)
