Windows Server 2008 access NOT asking for credentials

I have a problem where a NON domain PC can browse the shares, all drives ie c$, d$ without any credentials!

If I'm on the non-domain PC and go to my other server (Server 2003) and do \\server I get a login box, this is what I want.

But when I go to my server 2008 and do \\server I get access, and if I go to \\server\d$ etc I can get in and browse and even delete stuff, even though the permissions are correct as a domain PC cannot access it without the relevant permissions

I have not modified the default shares on the Server 2008, so unsure how this is happening and how I'm allowed to do it.

I checked the credentials vault on my Windows 7 machine (non-domain) and I don't have anything stored, unless it's hidden somewhere else that I'm not checking?

Thanks
