I have a need for 2 distinct Logon Banners: one when a user connects to the TSFarm through RDS and another when a user is sitting at the server console and logging on locally.
Anyone know a way to differentiate 2 distinct banners?
Or, enable the banner for someone connecting at the console, and NOT have a banner for individuals that are connecting to the RDS Farm through mstsc. Either would actually work.
Thanks.
Edit:
Just to update some testing. I set a local policy on one of the RDSH servers for the Interactive Logon Banner. Doing nothing else, whether I'm local on the console or RDPing to the farm I get this local banner. As expected. My thought was then I'd be able to create a domain GPO and apply it to the OU my test user is in.
Logically this would mean when a domain user logs in, that user would get the "domain" version of the logon banner. And when you log onto the console as the local administrator you would get the "local" version. This setup would work for this particular environment.
It didn't work as expected, in fact a little surprisingly I ONLY got the local logon banner.
