NTFS permission on shared folder in mount point

Hello All,

we found a strange issue today. We have a File Cluster with Mount Points setup for Home shares. Within the Mount Points I created a folder that I shared to everyone with full control. Afterwards I set permission according to the following TechNet Blog:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/migreene/archive/2008/03/24/3019467.aspx

Today we noticed that suddenly Users show up with NTFS Read permission on the Shared folder and also Inheritance is active again, even that it had been broken as part of the initial setup. My question now is if anyone has experienced this or maybe has an idea that could explain this. We had some issues with disks getting disconnected or server loosing connection to disks in the past.

We are a pure Microsoft shop, that beeing said we only have Windows Server 2008 R2 in the mix.

Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated!
