Hi guys,
I would think this would be an easy one and not sure how I am missing it. We want to allow a group of users(FileServerAdmins) to have Full NTFS permissions on our FileServers. I have gone through and given them Full Control NTFS permissions and also have given them Full Control share permissions as well. If I check the "Effective Access" tab for the users of that group, it shows that those users do have full control. So there is not a DENY overriding anything. The problem is that it is not working. The same folders which show me they have full control, they cannot make permission changes. When those FileServerAdmins try to change permissions on those files, across the network, everything is still greyed out. This stuff use to seem easier, but what am I missing? Some kind of User Rights Assignments for allowing security permission changes across the network? I can make permission changes across the network share, but I am a Local Administrator on those servers. We do not want to make these users Local Administrator on the servers.
Thanks,
Dan
