CryprFindOIDInfo is Returning NULL on Windows Server 2008 r2 with 2008 AD Schema

I can sucessfully retrieve a certificate name using a certificate template OID when calling the CryptFindOIDInfo API from a Windows 2008 R2 CA that’s part of windows 2003 AD. The same API call always returns NULL when called from a Windows 2008 r2 machine that is part of Windows 2008 r2 AD.

I am unable to find any information as to why the CryptFindOIDInfo is returning NULL when called from the second environment above.  Can someone please tell me if the API is supported when running Windows 2008 r2 AD and if supported, why it might be returning NULL?

Is there another way to map a certificate template OID to a certificate template name (using c++)?
