We have a SBS 2008 standard server SP2 with Exchange 2007 SP2.
Some of our users use RPC over HTTP to retrieve their e-mail only it's not functioning anymore.
I found out that basic authentication keeps getting disabled 5 minutes after I enable it in IIS, for this 5 minutes users can retrieve their e-mail and everything is working fine.
This message is logged in the application log:
Event 3003 Source MSExchange RPC Over HTTP Autoconfig
The Outlook Anywhere authentication settings have been updated.
Old settings: Basic, Ntlm
New settings: Ntlm
I found hotfix 954034 but when I want to install this I keep getting the message that is does not apply to this system (I have the x64 version), maybe this is because the hotfix is intended for build 6000 and I have build 6002 of Windows 2008???
Does anyone know a way to fix this?
